The Appeal
The later 'Puma'-engined Defender 90 hails from the final chapter of a lineage stretching back to 1948. Fitted with the 2.4-litre TDCi turbodiesel and a six-speed manual gearbox, these post-2007 examples offered improved refinement over their predecessors while retaining the rugged, go-anywhere character that has made the Defender a motoring icon. With production ceasing in 2016, well-kept examples continue to attract strong interest.
This particular Defender 90 has been in the hands of its current owner since 2010, when it was acquired as a three-year-old vehicle with just 23,000 miles on the clock. That long-term custodianship is reflected in the care recently invested: over £7,000 has been spent on routine maintenance, mechanical refurbishment, rust protection and cosmetic updates, all supported by invoices. The underside has been dry-ice cleaned and treated with Dinitrol wax protection, while the exterior has been machine-polished and waxed.
With its factory-standard drivetrain reported to start, run, and pull well, and a raft of new mechanical components fitted, this Defender 90 appears ready for its next chapter.IMG_0214 Ross Culver.jpeg3.98 MB
