The second generation of Porsche’s Cayenne wisely stuck close to the original formula: a luxurious, spacious four-door SUV purveying the energy of the firm’s established sports cars. The V6 Diesel model emerged as the sweet spot in the range. It was a good head and heart choice thanks to its sports-car-like handling, excellent towing capability, yet still averaging 35mpg.

Highly specified and finished in a popular colour combination, this 2013 Cayenne left the factory with £13,000 of options; a specification like this is very rare on the most economical version.
