Description

Deposit accepted. Car Reserved.

This car is very well known by the Lotus Eleven historians are registrars. The chassis plate has long been gone as often happens with race cars but the car has only had three owner's from new.

Raced at Sebring in 1957 by Colin Chapman and Joe Sheppard where it won its class and came in 11th overall. This is the first long door Eleven.
The car retains its original engine (400. 7. 7014). Joe Sheppard owned it in 57 and raced it with Colin at Sebring where it won its class.
Joe Sheppard lent it to a friend that damaged the nose(while using number 38) . All work to correct it has been completed.

A new nose was made by William and Pritchard and part of the front frame was removed and replaced due to damage.

It was completely dismantled in the 70's and in a heated garage.
Can assist in packing and shipping.
