This Ferrari was manufactured in October 1970 and shipped new to Canada through the official importer George Woolley. According to the original warranty card in the records, it was originally delivered to a certain Jean Pierre Forgel, who lived a little outside of Montreal. The Daytona, which was originally painted in Grigio Ferro (106-E-8), still has its original leather interior. This leather interior in Rosso (VM 893) is trimmed with black inserts. In 1990 the Quebecer owner Laurent LeMairre offered chassis 13827 in Band 15 of the "Ferrari Market Letter" for sale. From archived historical records it appears that the Ferrari was imported into Switzerland in January 1991.
In 1997 the chassis 13827 was acquired by Mr. Richoz, who immediately began a string of repairs. Invoices from November of the same year totaling over CHF 16, 804 attest to the complete dismantling of the engine for cleaning, the removal and replacement of a damaged piston, and reassembly. In 2005 the bodywork included repairs to both rear wings as well as a repaint of the boot and the rear bumper. Five years ago a German collector bought the Daytona and drove it about 5, 000 kilometres in good weather. The Ferrari still has its original engine. The gearbox was swapped years ago. Included with the Ferrari 365 GTB/ 4 Daytona from 1970 is the original owner's manual with the original warranty card and a tool roll.
