Some cars quietly slip under the radar, and the Chrysler Crossfire is undoubtedly one of them. Beneath the striking bodywork lies a healthy dose of Mercedes-Benz engineering, including the proven 3. 2-litre V6, paired here with the much more desirable six-speed manual gearbox.
With rear-wheel drive and plenty of character, these make for a hugely enjoyable modern classic.
This 2004 Coupe has had just three previous owners from new, with the last keeper having enjoyed ownership for the last 15 years!
Prior to sale we’ve treated the car to a fresh MOT along with an interim engine oil and filter service, meaning it’s ready to be enjoyed straight away. Even the aircon is ice cold!
Cosmetically, the Crossfire presents very well for its age. The bodywork is straight and tidy throughout, and we’ve recently given the paintwork a machine polish which has brought back a lovely shine. The alloy wheels are in good order with only minimal age-related imperfections and are fitted with a matching set of Avon tyres.
Inside, the cabin is equally respectable. The only point worth mentioning is the headlining, which has been secured with a number of discreet fabric pins. We’d rather be upfront about it, and if we’re honest, it’s considerably better than having it draped over your head when you drive!
Showing just 74, 000 miles, this example also comes with an exceptionally comprehensive history file. Included are the original service booklet which is fully stamped alongside a substantial folder of servicing invoices, maintenance records and repair receipts that demonstrate the care this car has been subject to.
Offered as a part exchange to clear, this Crossfire represents outstanding value for money. Distinctive looks, Mercedes reliability, a manual gearbox and rear-wheel drive for under £3k… that’s an awful lot of summer fun for very little outlay.
