In my ownership from April 2019, I am the 4th owner. 1st owner passed the car to his son, 3rd owner only from September 2018 then myself. I took a punt and bought off ebay unseen!
Have loved driving it, in my ownership now I have driven just under 20, 000 miles. Quite often garaged in the worst of weather otherwise sat on a driveway, even then sometimes covered.
Grey metallic in colour, body in good condition. One small mark on the drivers rear door about 1 cm across, otherwise no marks scratches or door dents. Had bonnet re sprayed plus rear and front bumper area to tidy it up soon after I bought it. Since then some corner bumper scratches front and rear both involving a wheelie bin!! 2 separate 'incidents'..... I'm being fussy, hardly visible actually. No other damage or accident damage as far as I am aware.
MOT runs until mid March 2027, mileage currently about 84500. Car is used as a run around, about 3 times a week so mileage will increase slightly.
Cambelt and waterpump last replaced 2 years ago, same time a new exhaust (in keeping with the car so noise levels as standard I would say... pretty quiet). All original interior, gear selector leather gator replaced 2 years ago, seats in overall good condition.
Rear view mirror replaced a year ago as it was delaminating around the edges.
Car has 17 service stamps in the book, the last 7 by the same garage I use in Wimborne. Oil changed every year regardless of mileage.
Tyres are Michelin Pilot Sport 3, been on about 6 years, plenty of tread left but a few age related surface cracks. Replacement advisable possibly if a daily driver.
Car has always been fed Shell or Esso Super unleaded which is 99 octane from those garages (I'm a bit of a petrolhead so my cars are fed decent fuel).
2 years ago the MOT picked up the fact that there was rust on a side sill. That was patched, then within a year I went to a specialist locally to inspect the car thoroughly for any rust and corrosion. I then made the decision to spend £3500 putting everything right! Quite mad, but it was that or just don't care! Photos of all that work are available here to view, detailed receipt of works done also available. Rear axle etc now all good.
Wheels..... again they were resprayed 6 years ago, all pretty good, no kerb damage or marks. Fog lights replaced, gear selector cable replaced last year, plus numerous other items over the years.
It runs well, returns me a genuine 45 mpg on average (town driving near 40, longer trips well over 50).
Known issues...... AC isn't working, last re gassed about 5 years ago so would need doing again. Also remote controls for radio on steering wheel all working ok except the volume increase button!
Basically a well looked after car, driven sensibly, dare I say treated with respect when engine cold etc, fun to drive, and bizarrely gets plenty of comments when out and about. The usual rattles etc, probably right for over 17 years old. Last service March 2026, and MOT.
The funniest was not long after owning it when a chap in a supermarket car park came up to me and said ' is that the hot Panda'? My reply was to say 'tepid'...... factually correct I'd say!
