The Appeal

The Triumph TR6 remains one of the most desirable British sports cars of its era, its muscular Karmann-designed bodywork housing a generous 2.5-litre straight-six that delivers proper torque and offers straightforward, fuss-free driving that remains highly coveted – a genuine antidote to the age of electric vehicles and complicated options. Produced for just seven years, the TR6 remains incredibly popular; an icon of pure driving pleasure.
This 1972 example, finished in red with a black interior, has benefited from considerable recent investment. A comprehensive overhaul was carried out in 2024, encompassing the front suspension, entire braking system, engine and differential mounts, plus all hoses. The interior was retrimmed at the same time, and the engine was rebuilt in 2018. The seller describes the mechanicals as lively and responsive, with honest and sound handling.
