The Appeal

The History and Paperwork

• Due to its time spent in a barn, there isn’t a lot of paperwork present
• There are some old-style MOT certificates to be found in the paperwork 
• You’ll also find some older-looking Austin handbooks and driver club memberships
• A V5 wasn’t available on the day so you may need to apply for a new one 
• It will require a little bit of work, but it is very presentable already

The Interior

• When you step into this interior you almost expect the world to go black and white
• Over the past 90 years, the interior has aged well, retaining many of its original Austin features
• All of the seats are covered in a rather fetching green leather
• This leather is in very good condition throughout, it may have been replaced in the past
• Up front, the two seats are shaped much like a shell and  look as if they will hold you nicely
• In the rear, there is one large bench like seat
• This is presented very well and will be enjoyed by your rear passengers
• To match the green seats a lot of the interior is trimmed in the same material 
• The door cards look to be in very nice condition as well
• Finished with some lovely leavers and handles these door cards are very art deco 
• Below the seats, there is a very well-fitted dark green carpet that is presented in great condition 
• There are some other lovely 1930s details on display in the rear
• These include the rope pull handles, netting on the roof, and interior lights 
• Due to its age, you may find some areas of the interior that aren’t quite like new, but these are part of the car's charm
• The dashboard looks to be in good condition with no large cracks 
• Still fitted are some lovely Smiths dials that add to the classic looks of the interior
• The headliner fitted is still in very good condition and shouldn’t need replacing anytime soon 
• Overall, the interior of this Austin is presented in lovely condition and just waiting for you to get in 
• You shouldn’t need to spend any time to get the interior up to standard

The Exterior 

• This car's charming character is on full display when you look at it 
• Finished in dark green, with black running boards it looks the part 
• Its time spent indoors and out of the elements has preserved it well for you 
• Walking around the exterior there didn’t seem to be large areas of obvious corrosion 
• The paintwork is in rather good condition all around and shouldn’t need much work at all
• There are a few chrome elements on the exterior these too are in good condition 
• It sits on four wonderful wire wheels that add to the car's character
• With a quick inspection of the underside, it appears to be in good condition 
• Overall, the exterior of this Austin is in rather good and presentable condition 

The Mechanics 

• Under the bonnet is a little 4-cylinder petrol engine 
• The engine bay is nice and clean, void of any obvious oil or other fluids 
• There will be a new coil fitted before you collect the car 
• Although the car was not shown running on the day, there is a video of it recently running and driving
• This should be a nice little runner throughout your ownership
