The Appeal

When it first hit the market, the 500 Toplini - often nicknamed the 'Little Mouse' - was one of the smallest cars in the world. It was here where the '500' line really began, which would go on to produce some of the most iconic cars to ever come from Italy. It swiftly became a natural way of life for the continent.

This particular example - affectionately known as 'The Noddy Car' - had an interesting start! The vendor explains:

"This particular vehicle was built at the request of a woman travelling with her husband in Sicily. Upon seeing the Topolino’s on the road, she went directly to the factory and asked if they would be able to build one in right-hand drive. They could, And the vehicle was subsequently built and shipped to Southampton as what I believe to be the first factory RHD Topolino."

By 2012, it had fallen on hard times, and was in need of restoration. Thankfully, a dedicated enthusiast stepped in and got to work - spending over 3,000 man hours to get the car into the gleaming condition you see it today. Of course, it's far from a simple, historically-accurate restoration - the vehicle has been brought into a new lease of life as a replica of Noddy's own famous Topolino-inspired car.

After many popular visits to car shows, rallies, and charity events, this fabulous little boy's toy is now ready and waiting for its lucky new owner, with its original 88-year-old registration and a beautifully restored interior.
