The Appeal

Designed to be an affordable and dependable motorcycle, the Royal Enfield Model G was originally a pre-war design, often attributed as the forefather of the successful Bullet.
This post-war example features telescopic forks and a 350cc OHV engine. It has been restored quite recently, covering fewer than 100 miles since. It is a truly charming example and is ready to be ridden and enjoyed.

The Mechanics

  • 350cc OHV single cylinder engine
  • Runs and rides very well
  • Changes gear and stops exactly as it should
  • Pliable suspension
  • Small oil leak, although this is to be expected of a ‘40s british bike
  • No smoke
  • Rebuilt engine and gearbox
  • New brakes

Summary

Beautifully restored and having covered fewer than 100 miles since, this Royal Enfield would make a great addition to any collection. Few bikes this age are in such fine condition, so a mechanically healthy example such as this is wonderful to see.
