The Appeal
The TD took the T-Type template and made it better. Improved handling, sharper steering and more comfortable ride all explain the enduring popularity of these pretty post-war roadsters.
This car spent its life in the USA before being repatriated in 1997. We are told it has always been RHD. It was restored to a clearly high standard by a leading member of the MG Octagon Club on its arrival, before passing to the current keeper in 2016. Since purchase he has had the engine rebuilt. It features a 5spd Moss box that makes long distance cruising considerably more relaxing.
Finished in smart off-white with burgundy leather, this is a very well kept car in great order. There are some minor signs of use, but nothing that detracts from its appeal or prevents you jumping in and enjoying it. Which surely you will.
The vendor says:
“The car is great fun to drive - all the suspension and steering components are in fine order so it handles very well - and the brakes are superb! This is a very fine car for driving and/or showing.”
