Just one former registered UK keeper: in present ownership since 1990
Upgraded with genuine rare MG wire wheels and period-style Michelin tyres
Regularly maintained and well cared for throughout present ownership
The Appeal
While the immediate post-war years were a tough time for British sports car manufacturers, MG had earned the affection and admiration of affluent US buyers, ensuring the Abingdon-based firm entered the 1950s on a stronger footing than many of its competitors.
MG launched the TD in 1949, following strong export sales of the outgoing TC. It featured several important updates to the chassis, with improved suspension and steering substantially improving the way the TD drove compared to its predecessor.
The vendor acquired this fine 1952 example in 1990 and has since enjoyed taking the car to local shows during the summer months, driving it sparingly throughout their custodianship. We're assured that it has been well-maintained over the years, stored indoors and we observe it has been kept on blocks to save the tyres.
Whether you're looking for a car to enjoy on sunny days or a valuable addition to your collection, this MG TD is worthy of serious consideration.
