The Appeal

In a cash-strapped post-war economy, MG continued evolving its 1930s designs until the mid-1950s when the thoroughly modern MGA was finally unveiled. However, that’s not to say their later T-type cars were lacking - when quite the opposite was true. The MG ‘TC’, ‘TD’ and ‘TF’ took all that’s great about pre-war MGs and significantly improved upon the car’s performance, handling and usability.
Here we have a charming example of the TD, which was produced between 1950 and 1953. Ammefictionately dubbed “Emily”, it was owned by the same family from 1973 until recently, undergoing an extensive restoration in the mid-seventies and enjoying regular use ever since. The previous registered keeper compiled an extensive history file which chronicles the car’s whole life.
For those seeking a fantastic example that’s been cherished like a member of the family, this is the one for you.
