The MG Midget is one of those cars everyone is familiar with and whilst many will think of the newer versions the original T-series was in production for almost 20 years from 1936 to 1955.
This TD represents the fourth generation of T-series Midget and is a truly exceptional example.
Imported and fully restored by the previous owner this TD Midget is in exceptionally good condition throughout.
A fantastic looking car from every angle it has the kind of styling and looks that will attract attention wherever it goes and it doesn’t disappoint when you get inside; retrimmed in red, the inside is in the same excellent condition as the outside.

The MG midget might be well known for being suited to drivers of a smaller stature, but with a car like this we don’t think we’d ever drive with the hood up.
The interior of this TD Midget is the perfect place to enjoy a summer evening in the Great British countryside from, with its superbly soft red leather seats it offers a relaxed classic car experience that's hard to beat.
Fully retrimmed as part of the restoration the interior presents exceptionally well throughout.
The chrome surrounds on the dials, gauges and switches show a light patina of age and they are the only parts on the car that do!
The extremely comfortable seats are both in excellent condition with no signs of wear, this is true of the carpet and trim as well.
The inside of the hood presents as new and the overall impression the interior of this TD Midget makes is excellent.

As with the interior the exterior of this TD Midget is simply fantastic.
The classic British design looks as good today as it did in the 50’s and presented in exceptional condition it makes for a fantastic looking car that everyone can appreciate.
The car has evidently had a full respray as part of the restoration and the condition of the ivory paintwork is excellent throughout, from the wheel arches to the inside of the bonnet it presents superbly.
The extensive brightwork is all in similarly excellent condition with both bumpers and all of the trim showing no signs of age or use.
The external fuel tank, long sweeping lines of the wheel arches and running boards, and large bonnet combined with the excellent condition make for a very aesthetically pleasing car that shows just how good MG’s can look.

The vendor tells us that he purchased the car from a bodywork specialist who imported it from the USA and carried out the comprehensive restoration to bring it to the fantastic condition you can see today.
The vendor estimates that the car has covered only around eight hundred miles since the restoration, making the engine about run in and ready for use.
As with every other aspect of this car the mechanics present excellently.
As can be seen in the images the underside of the car including all steering, suspension and braking components look almost new and it’s clear that this car has been very well cared for since the extensive restoration.
Whilst there are invoices for many parts used during the restoration, as the previous owner was a bodywork specialist and as such carried out the work himself there are none for the restoration.
However it’s clear to see from the images that the mechanical aspects of the car were not neglected during the restoration.
The current owner informs us that it drives exactly as it should, accelerating well and stopping quickly (for a car from 1953).
The MG TD Midget is a gorgeous car and there can be few examples as good as this one.
Finished in ivory with a tan hood and a red interior it looks fantastic from every angle.
The condition is excellent throughout and the attention to detail during the restoration is clear to see when you get up close.
