The Appeal
Carlo Abarth recognised that the unable Fiat 500 could be so much more than an affordable way of getting from A to B. Small, lightweight cars, like the 500, are the perfect basis for increased performance, as it takes relatively little extra power to make them quick, and their handling is second to none.
This very early Nuova 500, a 1958 model with 'suicide' doors, has been restored and upgraded to become a very convincing 850 Abarth Evocation. The enhancements are cosmetic and mechanical, so this Fiat is as exciting to drive as it is to look at.
