The Appeal

The Land Rover Series 1 is the vehicle that started it all - the original go-anywhere utility vehicle that would become indispensable across the country - be it for the military, rural enterprises or the off-road adventurer. These simple, straightforward 4x4s continue to resonate with the public in a big way; it's among the most iconic cars ever built.

This particular 1958 example has undergone a comprehensive rebuild from an abandoned project, completed approximately three years ago with minimal use since. The sympathetic restoration includes a rebuilt Series 3 2¼ petrol engine modified to run on unleaded fuel.
