Professional conversion from RHD to LHD - the RH dash is included in the sale.
The Appeal
A charming design, the Austin Healey Frogeye Sprite is an icon of British motoring history. Despite living much of its life in Denmark as a track car, this 1959 example has returned to the UK and presents itself in quite the unique condition.
A tuned engine and many chassis modifications set this car apart from many while the rare, Ashley Fastback hardtop it comes with certainly makes it desirable. As a whole it is in very good shape with just a few minor defects in places which could easily be ironed out.
The car comes with the RHD dash for anyone wanting to change it back which the seller says is a relatively easy quick job for a competent fitter. 20221104_131315.jpg3.39 MB
History and Paperwork
First manufactured in 1959
Supplied to W Varney Garage Ltd, Jersey
Exported to Denmark and converted into LHD track car
This 1959 Austin Healey Frogeye Sprite has travelled throughout Europe in many different guises, ultimately ending up back in the UK.
Currently a track-ready classic in left-hand drive format, the original right-hand drive dashboard comes with the car, and we are told a reconversion isn’t a major job. Under the bonnet sits a tuned 1275cc engine as part of its racing pedigree.
