The Appeal

For fans of the original Vette, the ‘61 is the one you want. This was the year when Bill Mitchell’s design team introduced the ‘duck tail’ rear end treatment that would become a signature feature of the Sting Ray and all later versions of the Corvette.

To that appeal, this white ‘61 adds a fetching colour scheme and optional 4spd manual gearbox. It is in very good order and looks to be largely factory-standard, including the array of detailed interior features. Beneath the bonnet is the 230hp 4.6L V8 that gives these cars such go.

This is a really tidy example of the sought-after later C1.
