Highlights
- Very rare late Mk1 1600 coupe
- Complete car for restoration
- Vendor states that engine runs
The Appeal
The MGA’s suitability for rallying and touring events explains why the rare hard top coupe is in such demand. More rigid than the convertible and with greater all-weather versatility, these pretty cars are excellent restoration candidates thanks to plentiful parts supply.
Many have already been renovated, but not this 1961 car. It is likely one of the last of the 2,273 LHD Mk1 1600 Coupes built and is only for sale because the vendor has decided to restore his roadster instead.
The car is said to be complete and we are told that the engine runs. For the right buyer, this looks like an exciting project.
