The Appeal
Riley's One-Point-Five was originally designed as a successor for the Morris Minor - however, the Minor wasn't going anywhere, so BMC opted to pack it with a larger engine and pop on the much-loved Magnette gearbox and their ever-respectable 'B'-series engine. The result was pure Riley - a handsome British milieu with a more sporty persona at its core.
This example, first registered in October 1963, has been in its current keeper's hands since 2009, and carries a handsome mid-century character. The vendor has undertaken a lot of mechanical work in recent years, and it's reportedly a sweet-running classic, one that defies its years.
It's a fine, handsome little car, and we're confident it'll prove a very rewarding classic.
The vendor adds:
"I have owned this car for the last 15 years and have only covered 400miles in that period, time for someone else to enjoy the car who will use it and enjoy it more."
