A real passion pick
The Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT is one of the most iconic silhouettes in the history of Italian motoring, and the GTAM—the lightweight competition homologation version (“race-bred”)—is the pinnacle of that line. Genuine GTAMs are now extremely rare and change hands for stratospheric sums; this replica, faithfully built from a 1964 Sprint GT, therefore offers an enticing way to get the feel of a GTAM without having to swallow the extraordinary cost.
This car has benefited from a comprehensive two-year restoration. Considerable work was carried out to recreate the details of the 1300 GTA displayed at the Alfa Romeo museum: the bodywork was modified accordingly before being given a fresh red paint job. Under the bonnet sits a 1,750cc engine prepared by specialist Atout Sport with Victor Parts components, fed by twin Weber 45 carburettors. The cabin blends motorsport spirit with day-to-day usability, while the seller describes it as easy to drive on the road—great fun, with handling close to that of a kart.image.png1.25 MB
