The Appeal
The Mustang is one of the most iconic cars in history, and to this day may well be amongst the most recognisable silhouettes in motorsport. It's little surprise that America's legendary pony car continues to see use in rallies and racing, with numerous specialists building GT350 replicas and putting them through their paces.
This example was commissioned in the United States from a rust-free shell and constructed with a single-minded focus on endurance rallying — a discipline in which it has a proven track record, including the Three Legs of Man rally, Ypres to Istanbul Challenge, and Rally The Globe, all of which has been extensively photographed and catalogued.
The build is comprehensive and purposeful, featuring a strengthened shell with a fully integrated roll cage, fuel cell, and extensive underbody protection. Mechanically, it has recently received a fresh crate 302ci V8, a new Tremec 5-speed gearbox, new clutch, and a new limited-slip differential. The interior has been stripped out and fully equipped for competition use, and the car arrives with a spare set of wheels and additional spares.
