The Appeal
Back in the '60s, it was fair to say that the UK were the kings of the twin-stroke sports bike. There were plenty of manufacturers up and down the country, some better-known than others. Greeves motorcycles, hand-built in Thundersley, Essex, hold a special place in that bygone era, having been born out of Bert Greeve's Invacar and quickly settling into supremacy when it came to trials and competitions.
The Anglian is among the most appealing of the marque's road-going lightweights, combining Greeves' distinctive cast-alloy beam frame with willing performance and charming period character. It's a scarce beast nowadays, and is bound to prove pride of place in the lucky buyer's fleet.
