The Appeal
"Grace, Space, Pace". That was Jaguar founder William Lyons' motto, and it's safe to say that the Mark II embodies all three of those admirable qualities. It was affordable too, democratising the concept of the fast executive saloon for perhaps the first in history.
Offered in very good condition, in a great colour scheme and with a manual overdrive gearbox, this Mark II has everything going for it.
The vendor tells us:
"I purchased the car in Germany in 2017. It had been bought as part of an inheritance collection sale with two other Jaguars. In the eight years of my ownership, I have personally serviced the car myself: Oil changes, points. plugs, carbs rebuilt, leads replaced, heating pipes, brake servo, new Fan Belt, rear axle seal, steering column guides replaced. Wire wheels were fitted four years ago, and a wooden steering wheel was fitted last year. The car was driven regularly and was always garaged."
