The Appeal

The 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe needs little introduction. With its long bonnet, classic proportions and rumbling V8, it remains one of the most recognisable and desirable American cars of all time, synonymous with rebellious American motoring at its most muscular. This handsome blue example spent its life in Florida before being imported to the UK in 2023, and has been stored in a garage ever since.

Before making the transatlantic journey, this Mustang underwent an extensive mechanical overhaul. The work included a new engine, gearbox, front disc calipers, alloy radiator, brake booster, headlights, carpets and headlining. The engine - which the vendor believes may be a performance 302 crate unit based on its firing pattern - is producing 250bhp on a rolling road. A magnetic contactless ignition system has replaced the original points, and most suspension and power steering components have been renewed. The result is a better-than-factory car that's loaded with character and performance.
