Extensive body rebuild carried out approximately 13 years ago
Benefitting from recent mechanical work including a new clutch and master cylinders
The Appeal
Ambitious, wrapped in plenty of chromework and boasting rather forward-facing styling, the Corsair 2000e was built to bridge a gap between the hardy family saloon and their more prominent executive machines, taking the place of the rapidly ageing Ford Consul. It was never a best-seller, and it's still full of distinctly '60s quirks, but what a fabulous-looking classic it is. A real headturner.
This particular car has been in the same hands for 25 years and has been garage-stored throughout that time. An extensive body rebuild was carried out approximately 13 years ago, and the vendor reports the car is running very well, having received considerable recent attention. Beautifully kept, loaded with character and practically defining that pre-Capri era, this is a fabulous car for the dedicated Dagenham driver. image.png1.48 MB

✓ We request that a non-refundable fee be paid if you are the lucky winning bidder at auction or if your offer is accepted Please refer to our helpful FAQs and T&Cs for specific rates.

✓ We want a smooth transaction just as much as you do and as such we run all UK-registered cars and motorbikes for sale on Car & Classic through an online HPI check to verify that they show no insurance database markers for damage or theft, and have no finance owing, allowing you to bid with confidence.
✓ We also check whether vehicles are recorded as being written off as part of an insurance total loss claim at the time an advert is placed on Car & Classic and we helpfully provide write-off category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) for your assistance. However, the presence or absence of a label does not guarantee the vehicle’s status and it is always worthwhile carrying out your own full vehicle history check before making an offer on a vehicle.
