The Appeal
The MGB is one of the world's most successful classics - certainly one of the most iconic. It's little wonder that so many of these British sports cars have become candidates for modification and customisation. This one has undergone, for instance, a conversion into a muscular 3.9-litre V8. Quite the upgrade from the 1.8-litre straight-four it was built with.
This 1967 example was fully restored and converted to V8 specification in 1994, and the work is comprehensively documented with photographs, receipts, and even a magazine article covering the build. Purchased by the current owner in November 2021, it has been garaged throughout their stewardship. The vendor describes the driving experience as great fun with an incredible sound.

✓ We want a smooth transaction just as much as you do and as such we run all UK-registered cars and motorbikes for sale on Car & Classic through an online HPI check to verify that they show no insurance database markers for damage or theft, and have no finance owing, allowing you to bid with confidence.
✓ We also check whether vehicles are recorded as being written off as part of an insurance total loss claim at the time an advert is placed on Car & Classic and we helpfully provide write-off category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) for your assistance. However, the presence or absence of a label does not guarantee the vehicle’s status and it is always worthwhile carrying out your own full vehicle history check before making an offer on a vehicle.
