The Appeal
Few cars capture the spirit of 1960s Italy quite like the Fiat 500F with its folding canvas roof. Finished in the iconic Celeste Chiaro, the pale blue that has become synonymous with the model, this 1968 example has recently received considerable attention from its current owner, who purchased it in May 2026 from Trani in Puglia, where it had been kept in a private garage.
Prior to the current owner's acquisition, the car had been driven daily for many years by its previous keeper, who had originally collected it from Salerno. It is not a barn find; it had been restored and used regularly before a period of standing. Since purchase, the current owner has had the engine and gearbox inspected and adjusted, repaired front panel metalwork where surface rust had formed, and commissioned a complete repaint in the original colour, verified by a professional spectrometer. New white-wall Atlas tyres complete the look, and a rear luggage rack with wicker picnic basket has been added.
Buyers should note that some 500L components are fitted, including the dashboard and odometer, though the car is and remains a 500F. The vendor describes the car as ready to drive and enjoy, best suited to short journeys and country roads.
