The Appeal
The MGC is a pretty simple prospect. It's an MGB with a straight-six engine from the Austin-Healey 3000, which it was intended to replace. It was a strong concept - after all, everybody already loved the MGB - and made a lot of sense for a rationalisation process. The car underwent quite some chassis revisions to meet the new, heavier powerplant, but the only real visual difference from an MGB is the bonnet revisions to permit a revised radiator and offer clearance to the carbs.
The car was handsome, stylish and fast on its feet - though arguably lost a little of the nimble behaviour of the 'B'. They've become comparatively scarce today, and in the right hands, prove to be one of the finest roadsters of the MG repertoire. It's not to be missed, and not to be underestimated!
This particular vehicle has been meticulously restored to original 1968 specifications, with its concourse competition success demonstrating the quality of work carried out. With original tools, comprehensive documentation, and a wealth of spare parts included, this represents a well-maintained example for the discerning MG enthusiast.
