What makes it special

The 1968 Porsche 911 S 2.0 represents the pinnacle of the short-wheelbase 911 era: it’s the last and most developed of the short-wheelbase evolutions before, in 1969, the arrival of the long-wheelbase Generation B. With its aluminium-block flat-six engine producing 160 bhp, Weber 40 IDS carburettors, ventilated disc brakes and Fuchs alloy wheels fitted as standard, the S was the flagship of the 911 range in terms of performance and remains today one of the most sought-after air-cooled Porsches.
This example was delivered new in France by Sonauto, the official Porsche importer, and, according to the information provided to us, would come with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity confirming its provenance. Between 2023 and 2025, it underwent a full restoration, which the seller describes as having been carried out with a high level of meticulousness. The work covered the chassis, bodywork, engine, gearbox, interior and the electrical system. Accompanied by a restoration file documenting the work carried out, this 911 S is a great opportunity to acquire one of the most desirable early 911 variants, in freshly restored condition.

All chrome parts have been restored, while new trims and new original Porsche seals were fitted. The car also retains its original-spec iodine headlamps.
The interior has been rebuilt to period specifications, with a 42 cm bakelite steering wheel trimmed in leather and fitted with the rare butterfly horn, restored gauges and a period Blaupunkt Frankfurt radio discreetly modernised with the addition of Bluetooth.
