The Appeal
The Herald 13/60 added more power and a dose of Vitesse frontal styling to an already compelling package. These later cars are popular with enthusiasts because they’re reliable, easy to work on, cheap to run and, of course, provide oodles of fun.
The vendor states that this very pretty 1968 Herald 13/60 is a potential show winner, and looking at the photos, we’d have to concur. Stripped and repainted in white with a fetchng blue stripe, it is in very good conditon across the crips bodywork. A set of Minilite-style alloys and a Vitesse twin-headlamp body add to the aesthetics while inside there is a retrimmed cabin in grey with blue piping and seatbelts to suite with the exterior.
The engine was reportedly rebuilt 34,000 miles ago and usefully runs on unleaded. Although MOT exempt, the car was subject to a useful voluntary MOT in April 2022. The car has covered few miles since.
In great running order and with condition that shines out of the photos, this will make a lovely, characterful summer convertible for the lucky buyer.
The vendor says:
“You cannot help falling in love with this little car. With the top down it is like a sports car, with the top up it is a saloon ! It would certainly win a Classic Car Show.”
