The Appeal
The first-generation Kadett B coupé was only produced for a few years before the Opel range evolved. This version is particularly distinguished by its three side vents, which gave rise to the German nickname "Kiemencoupé".
This 1969 example is presented in metallic gold and is said to retain a largely original configuration. It's a "Luxus" version, featuring additional chrome elements, a cigarette lighter and a lockable glove box.
The bodywork was repainted approximately five years ago. The paint is reported to be in good overall condition, despite one area showing some blistering. The black interior also appears well preserved, with some wear marks consistent with the car's age. Under the bonnet, the chassis number is said to correspond to a 1.1-litre four-cylinder engine producing 55 bhp in high-compression form.
This left-hand-drive Kadett B thus represents an interesting example of a late 1960s Opel coupé, with its Luxus trim and unmodified presentation according to the seller.IMG_1665 philippe.jpg11.3 MB

✓ We also check whether vehicles are registered as written off as a result of a total loss at the time the listing is placed on Car & Classic and we provide write-off category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) to help you. The presence or absence of a label does not, however, guarantee the vehicle's status and it is always useful to carry out a full vehicle history check before making an offer on it.
