The Appeal
The Alfa Romeo 105 series GT Junior, with its Giugiaro-designed Bertone bodywork and responsive twin-cam engine, remains one of the most sought-after Italian coupés of its era. Its combination of elegant proportions, a willing powertrain and a rewarding driving experience has earned it a devoted following among enthusiasts.
This right-hand drive 1972 example was originally delivered to Kempton Park, South Africa, where it spent most of its life in a warm, dry climate before being imported to the UK in 2005. Finished in Giallo Fly, it has been in its current owner's care for approximately ten years, during which time it has been garaged under a breathable cover and regularly maintained; the owner's husband, who was in the motor trade, oversaw routine servicing and oil changes. The vendor reports that it drives well, with light, direct steering, smooth gears and a responsive engine. Presented in honest, well-kept condition, this GT Junior represents a well-documented, usable example of an increasingly collectible coupé.
