The Appeal
The ‘Lusso’ 500 added just enough touch of luxury to add useful comfort and refinement to the Fiat’s city car. These care are easily identified by their chrome front and rear ‘nudge bars.’ This one began its life in Italy where it was purchased by the current keeper over 20 years ago and used for his wedding. When he moved to the UK it came with him, being registered here since 2008. It is only for sale due to lack of storage following a house move.
This is the kind of 500 you could take in a couple of directions. It’s a tidy, very usable example that we’re told has been serviced regularly and runs well. You could leave it ‘as is’ and enjoy the usability of a gently patinated city car as an antidote to those show queens, or there is scope to raise its game to show level.
Whichever you choose, this much-loved 500 looks ready for its first new keeper in two decades to cherish and enjoy.
