The Appeal
The Triumph Spitfire MKIV represented a significant evolution in the Spitfire lineage, featuring Giovanni Michelotti's refined bodywork design that eliminated the front wing weld lines and brought styling in line with other Triumph models of the era. It was an altogether cleaner, more contemporary roadster, and reorganised the cabin into something a little more user-friendly. Plus, the previous generations' suspension had been addressed - can't say fairer than that.
The 4th generation of the car enjoys an impressive reputation amongst enthusiasts. It's significantly rarer than its successor and predecessor, particularly in colourways that levelled away from the likes of British Racing Green, Signal Red and Old English White. As a result, we expect this handsome Wedgewood Blue car will get plenty of attention.
The classic British sports car is still something of a unique phenomenon, and the 4th gen Spitfire offered a real peak for the '70s motorist. Now you've got the perfect opportunity to see what all the fuss is about!
