The Appeal

Showcasing svelte Michelotti-designed roadster bodywork and based upon the Triumph Herald’s innovative chassis, the Spitfire proved a consummate performer. Small, lightweight, rear-wheel drive sports cars are almost always excellent fun to drive and the Spitfire is no exception.
This 1972 MkIV example is superbly presented and benefits from a great deal of recent work.
Following a full respray in high-gloss Sapphire Blue, the bodywork is a particular highlight, as are the replacement soft top, refurbished wheels and well-preserved chrome. On the inside, all looks commendably original and smart following seat refurbishment and new carpets and door cards. We’re informed that the mechanics are similarly well-sorted, with an upgraded cooling system and numerous new components fitted.
In short - this looks a very fine example.
For those seeking a classic British roadster that’s ready to enjoy, we heartily recommend this Triumph Spitfire.
