The Appeal

Originally a cheap alternative to the automobile for post-war Europe, the VW Beetle has become a cult icon thanks to several decade on the market and a characterful charm. 

This particular model, recently resprayed in stylish pale green paint has just come out of a full off-body restoration. With several new pieces including chrome attachments, mechanical and chassis elements and interior accessories, it is in fantastic condition. 

Thanks to the addition of earlier-model parts such as the front wings and light covers, this car features a unique look that very few other Beetles can boast. Furthermore, a quad-pipe Empi exhaust ensures a tuneful hum always bellow from the air-cooled boxer engine. Providing a thrill of driving and the ability to turn heads, this 1972 VW Beetle is surely a VW enthusiast’s perfect purchase for the upcoming summer weather.

  • Clearcoat features some slight orange peel, but some wet sanding should smooth this out
  • Small blemish to the paint work on the drivers’ side front wheel arch

  • 1285cc air-cooled four-cylindre boxer engine
  • Original four-speed manual transmission

  • Full brake system replaced including lines, pads, shoes, hoses, reservoir and a rebuilt master cylinder

  • The car does not have its original engine but this has been replaced with an identical unit (AB533612 on logbook AB053279 in car)
  • Minor leak at the rocker covers
