The Attractions
Alfa Romeo's original 'cuttlebone' Spider is revered today as a style icon, but the original buyers proved not to appreciate its radical look. The result was the restyling of the Duetto in the 'coda tronca' or 'coda Kamm' style, which itself became a design classic.
The rare 1300 Junior was conceived as an entry-level model, equipped with the small-displacement and pleasingly lively version of Alfa Romeo's twin-camshaft 'Nord' engine. Only 4,557 examples were built, and those remaining are rare compared to the 1750 and 2000 versions.
Extensively restored until 2021, this splendid light blue 1300 Junior is almost comparable to a brand new example. It has covered only 200 km since the completion of the work, which involved the structure and mechanics and is carefully documented by photographs. It has an overhaul valid until October 2025.

The quality of this car's restoration is carefully documented in the photographs, but stands out clearly in the finished work. With charming blue paint and perfect panel assembly, this car is a far cry from the red car that appears in the photographs before restoration.
The interior has also been finished to a high standard and looks as good as new thanks to very limited use. It is a car that conforms to factory specifications with the exception of the dashboard, which is from a 2000 Duetto. If this were replaced, the car would be eligible for ASI certification.WLLWb4PYcYD1JgDhhmNwLEOWUOs4zjcgysReH3Cz.jpg716.01 KB

The Nord 1300 cc engine may not match the performance of the larger Spider models, but it is much appreciated by enthusiasts for its characteristic smoothness in revving up. The engine in this car has been completely rebuilt and has covered only 200 km since restoration.
