The Appeal
The Kamm Tail Spider introduced styling that proved so good it remained in production for over 30 years. The 1300cc variant may have had the smallest-capacity ‘Nord’ twin cam, but in many ways it was the sweetest-revving unit.
This example was bought by the current keeper 25 years ago in Italy and used for the first 10 as his daily driver. In recent years its had a more cossetted life, alongside a four year restoration process. That included bodywork, paintwork, new panels, new hood and screen and a full engine rebuild. The gearbox was also thoroughly checked over. There are some minor jobs to complete, including wiring, but once done the buyer gets to benefit from all that hard work.
Alfa’s classic Spider is one of the gems of the motoring world and perfectly designed for summer drop-top motoring. This one, naturally finished in red with a black interior, has the provenance and quality to stand out.
The vendor says:
“It's a beautiful car to drive, I have so enjoyed owning it and am very sad to see it go but an ever enlarging family forces the sale. It's a real head turner.”
