The Appeal

The Fiat 500 Jolly is a great example of care-free motoring. It is ideal for days at the beach, outings with friends and generally having fun. It would be almost impossible to drive a car like this without a smile on your face.
This Jolly has clearly been the subject of extensive restoration, which involved extensive work to the mechanical components, bodywork and interior.
It has clearly been well executed and now stands ready to be enjoyed as intended, while impressing onlookers with its unmistakably distinctive style and beautifully finished trim.

  • First registered 5th April 1973

 The Interior

  • Woven wicker seating on stainless steel frames
  • Sisal carpeting
  • Every detail beautifully finished
The most striking element of this Fiat’s interior is the woven wicker seating. This has been beautifully crafted upon stainless steel frames and remains in excellent condition.
Underneath, the hard-wearing sisal carpeting is a practical feature which is nicely trimmed with braided rope. And the transmission tunnel and rear parcel shelf are finished in diamond-stitched leather.
It is notable that the finish of this car's interior is extremely high quality. Every detail appears to have been executed skilfully and carefully. This is a rolling testament to the craftsmanship of its restorers.
The open air driving offered by this Fiat 500 is an unbeatable experience, with no doors or windows and its fabric roof fluttering in the breeze.

 The Exterior

  • Aquamarine paint work in excellent condition
  • Stainless steel bumpers and side rails
  • Distinctive striped fabric roof on a stainless steel frame
The standard Fiat 500 is a an almost universally recognised icon, but this Jolly takes the original design and turns it on its head. Most notably the fabric roof is a novel and charming feature.
Stainless steel bumpers finish off the look beautifully and complement the hubcaps and side rails. The aquamarine paint appears to have been skilfully applied and remains unblemished.
The front indicators and rear lights are said to be original Fiat 500 N units, as is the windscreen.
Underneath, this car is beautifully clean, with no signs of corrosion or damage reported. And to the rear a luggage rack is fitted and comes complete with leather straps.
The wheels, with their colour-matched centres, are unmarked and the tyres are said to be new.
The vendor informs us that, owing to the paintwork's characteristics, the aquamarine finish appears to vary according to the light - a feature which, we think you'll agree, only adds to this little Jolly's playful character. Overall, the finish on the exterior of this Fiat 500 is beautifully executed and it is a car anyone would be proud to be seen in.

 The Mechanics

  • Beautifully clean engine bay
  • Many new suspension, braking and steering components
  • New battery, fuel tank and wiring
Upon opening the rear engine compartment, we can see just how clean and tidy everything is. The engine bay is spotless and the engine itself is in similar condition.
The car benefits from having many new suspension and steering components. The vendor reports that the brakes are new and that the car benefits from a new battery, fuel tank, and wiring loom.
These new components and servicing will give the new owner of this jolly peace of mind and the confidence to drive it as if it were new.

Summary

The beautiful restoration and conversion work carried out is a testament to the skill of the restorers, who have clearly invested a huge amount of care into the creation of this stunning Fiat.
This Fiat 500 Jolly is simply crying out to be driven along the Riviera on a sunny evening. It will bring a smile to the faces of passers-by, who will enjoy its playful appearance.

About Max Bids

The max bid process allows you to bid without any hassle.

Enter your maximum bid and we will then bid on your behalf to ensure you're the highest bidder - just enough to keep you in the lead and only up until your maximum.

Anti-sniping

Car & Classic prevent auction snipers from bidding in the last seconds to win an auction.

Auctions are extended by 3 minutes if anyone bids within the last 2 minutes to allow other bidders to react and counter-bid.

Auto-bidding increments

  • If your maximum bid is equal to or below the reserve price, your maximum bid will be applied in full if you are the highest bidder.
  • If you are the highest bidder and place a maximum bid above the reserve, we will automatically put in the reserve as your first bid.
    • Once the reserve has been met, Car & Classic will make sure you are the highest bidder using only the bidding increments stated below.
    • We will keep you in the lead up until your maximum bid OR the increment closest to your maximum bid, providing your maximum bid is enough to cover the increment value.

Bid Amount Increment
€0 to €9,999 €100.00
€10,000 to €49,999 €250.00
€50,000 to €99,999 €500.00
€100,000 + €1,000.00

Automatically outbid immediately

When you place a max bid and are outbid immediately that means that another bidder has placed a max bid limit which is higher than yours.

You can bid again and we will use our automatic bid system to try and get you as the highest bidder.

Matching max bids

When there are two max bids of the same value, the one placed first remains the lead bidder.

Pre-authorisation

We may hold a pre-authorisation charge on your card until the end of the auction when the hold will be cancelled. If you win, we'll take a security deposit which counts towards the payment for the vehicle and isn't any extra cost to you.

What are pre-bids?

A pre-bid means you're able to place a bid before the official start of the auction.
You will be notified whether or not you are the highest bidder when the auction starts.

Problem with your bid

Bids are contractually binding. To help protect you, we have some rules in place if we think it's been mistyped. Please check and amend what you have entered.
