The Appeal
The MG Midget is a surprisingly big component to the world of the British sports car, considering its diminutive size. In a world where affordable leisure was the be-all, end-all, it perfectly hit the mark, with cute styling and familiar mechanics making for an altogether engaging car that ticked all of the boxes.
The car continuously evolved as generations ticked by - to some purists, losing its character in the process. Thankfully there is the odd glimmer of hope to be found in later cars, particularly in the form of this - the MK3 with round arches, the more powerful 1,275cc engine and just before the introduction of the 'Sabrina' impact bumpers. It's an enviable spec, and most will agree it's the car to go for.
This very handsome 1973 car is a great example, having been kept very original and very well maintained over the course of its 15 year tenure with the vendor.
