The Appeal
MG should have offered the factory Roadster with the burbly Buick 3.5L V8. We know that and we’re sure you do too. That’s why we love well-executed conversions like this car.
With that characterful motor, 5spd LT77 gearbox and eye-catching green paintwork, it is a potent and usable car. The current keeper has maintained the car well since he acquired it in 2013. The extensive list of work includes brake, suspension and clutch repairs alongside regular servicing.
There are a few cosmetic points to note in the photos, but nothing that would appear to prevent you from jumping in and enjoying this mechanically sorted car. There is scope to improve it, but with V8 power on tap, driving it will almost certainly be the first thing you’ll want to do.
The vendor says:
“A great fun vehicle with plenty of power from the 3.5 litre Rover v8. Not concourse, but tidy and a very practical classic which can be enjoyed throughout the seasons.”
