The Appeal

The 02 series is what really catapulted the house of Bavaria into the stratosphere. Taking the already much-loved 'New Class' cars and shortening them into a lighter, more agile and outright entertaining little sports saloon was exactly what the doctor ordered - not least as it was far more affordable during a worldwide financial crisis.

The tii is consistently the most sought-after variant, and good examples are increasingly hard to find. That fuel-injected engine is still all the rage for dedicated enthusiasts. It's got all of that BMW magic in its most unspoilt, analogous form.

This 1975 example has been in the current owner's care since 2007 and has only recently left dry storage to be prepared for sale. It is notably specified with the rare Lux interior, featuring blue cord upholstery and wooden door trim. You'll need a trailer for this classic, but it's a superb starting point for a restoration.
