The Appeal
The MG BGT Jubilee Edition was produced in limited numbers in 1975 to celebrate MG's 50th anniversary, making it one of the more collectable variants of the much-loved B. Our example has been noted by MG specialist John Woods of Mold, Flintshire, as a rare car retaining its rubber bumpers, V8 wheels, stock V8 steering wheel, original fabric seat upholstery, and original gear knob - a level of originality that is increasingly difficult to find.
Following a service and Historic Vehicle Inspection carried out by John Woods last summer, the car received new rear brake callipers and electronic ignition. The vendor describes it as a lovely car to drive that starts and runs very well, with the overdrive fully operative. The bodywork presents well for its age, with only minor inconsistencies typical of a 50-year-old car, while a previous owner carried out an overspray. The interior appears in very good order, retaining its original fabric seats.
Clearly, this is a well-sorted Jubilee Edition, offering an increasingly rare chance to acquire a largely original example of this limited-run MG.image.png1.76 MB
