The Appeal
As much as we love the venerable old B Series, the MGB (and indeed just about everything else) is best enjoyed in V8 form. With Rover's legendary 3.5-litre unit fitted, the humble 'B' transforms from entry-level sports car to a serious performance machine. Produced in limited numbers between 1973 and 1976, survivors are increasingly sought after by enthusiasts who appreciate the combination of classic British styling and V8 muscle.
This 1975 example has been in the care of its current owner since 1980, some 46 years of dedicated custodianship. Recent mechanical attention has ensured the car remains in good shape, and the vendor reports it runs and drives well. The interior retains its original door trims and headlining, with replacement leather seats and carpets.
There is scope for improvement in a few places, but this is a good, usable re-shelled MGB with chrome bumpers, advisory-free voluntary MOT, and, most importantly, a big V8 under the bonnet. dsc08959.jpg637.24 KB
