The Appeal
The 911 Targa remains one of the most desirable body styles in Porsche's storied lineup, offering the open-air experience of a convertible whilst retaining the structural rigidity and distinctive silhouette of the coupé. This 1977 example is finished in a rare Bronze exterior with Caramel interior, a striking colour combination that sets it apart from the more commonly seen silver and black examples.
This particular 911 Targa has benefited from significant restoration and refurbishment work over recent years. The bodywork was professionally stripped and repainted in 2018, whilst the Targa roof was refurbished to ensure proper function. The interior received considerable attention in 2022 when the seats were professionally reupholstered and part of the interior was redone, followed by new carpets fitted in 2024. The ventilation system was also revised in 2024 and is reported to be in working order.
Under the bonnet sits the 3.0-litre flat-six engine, which has not been rebuilt but has received maintenance including a clutch disc replacement in 2016 and a new starter motor in 2023. The car has been regularly maintained during the current ownership, which commenced in February 2016, and photos of the restoration work are available for inspection.
The Contrôle Technique vehicle safety inspection expired in May 2025, and the Targa seal requires replacement. Original lights are included with the sale, though replacement lights are currently fitted.image.png1.74 MB
