In 1971 Suzuki launched the T500, a two-stroke, fast and well-built machine that proved extremely popular throughout the early 70s. In 1975 to try and modernise the ageing two-stroke, the bike was rebranded as a GT500, given a larger fuel tank, electronic ignition and a front disc brake. Unfortunately, its days were numbered with the demand for four-stroke and four-cylinder engines growing; the GT500 ended production in 1977.
This lovely original example has just 9,136 miles. It is coming from a private collection which is being downsized and being a left-hand kickstart, it is proving quite difficult for the vendor to start because of a previous leg injury. The GT500 has been recommissioned, ensuring the new custodian can jump on and ride. JePVQkj8tP4b5mnxieLxBDppM3MglquwooKXPEpp.jpg651.09 KB
