The Appeal
The enduring popularity of the MG’s B means that you can virtually build a brand new car from the array of available new parts. That, essentially, is what has happened here.
This very attractive Old English White ‘78 roadster was extensively rebuilt a few years ago using a Heritage shell. The engine was reconditioned and it received a new hood and interior in matching red. Tastefully de-bumpered, equipped with chrome wires and fitted with a vented bonnet, it is a really good example of the later B with the 4spd overdrive gearbox.
The vendor has owned the car since it was completed. He tells us that it has always been dry stored and never used in the rain. MOT records indicate that it has only covered around 1,500 miles since completion. The result is a really smart B that stands out from the crowd with its specification and detail upgrades.
