The Landcruiser has a storied history, serving as the go-to vehicle for practical and field work around the world.

This specific vehicle is an Australian import, brought into the UK in 2016, and has been a reliable workhorse ever since. It has seen a comprehensive programme of maintenance work between 2016 and 2018, making it a solid choice for those looking for a classic commercial vehicle with a well-documented history.

History and Paperwork

• Imported from Australia and brought to the UK in 2016
• First registered keeper used it in France as a British expat from 2016 to 2018
• Extensive documented work including new tyres and tubes in 2016, rebuilt injectors and fuel pump in 2017, new coolant hoses in 2017, new master brake cylinder in 2017, and top engine rebuild in 2018
• Registered to its current number plate in 2019
• Sold to the 2nd registered keeper in August 2020
• Current owner purchased the vehicle on New Year's Eve 2022
• The odometer currently reads 81,547 km, but it is presumed to have covered more in its lifetime

The Condition

• The vehicle has never been restored, apart from a couple of small patches on the footwell
• The chassis is still very solid, with only light surface rust
• The truck carries working patina but is perfectly usable as is or can be the base for a bare shell restoration
• The roof and front fenders are fibreglass components, likely fitted when the vehicle was still in Australia
• The truck comes with an aluminium UTE bed and drop-down side panels, measuring 2.4m x 1.8m
• Internally, the car is in solid order, albeit with working patina
• Soft scratching, scuffing and marks to the painted dash and metalwork
• The seats are in overall good condition, but the passenger seat stitches have come undone
• Door cards are perfectly usable but are a little worn
• The doors show some corrosion and paint loss to the internal metal work
• Original Toyota floor mats present but showing some wear and tear

The Mechanics

• 3.6L H I6 diesel engine
• 4-speed manual transmission
• During the current ownership, work done includes:
  • Some electrical connection repairs
  • Second-hand heater box and air ducting have been sourced and refurbished
  • The radiator and starter motor have been refurbished
  • Regulator has been changed to correct a charging issue
