The Appeal

The Series 2 XJ6 4.2 is widely regarded as one of the finest iterations of Jaguar's iconic saloon, combining a smooth 4.2-litre inline-six, elegant chrome bumpers, and refined ride quality to make it a perennial favourite among classic Jaguar enthusiasts, many of whom prefer the S2's chrome bumpers over the rubber items fitted to the later Series 3.

This example, finished in the desirable Squadron Blue, is believed to have been garage-stored as part of a deceased estate before being acquired by the current owner earlier this year. It has since been recommissioned, and reportedly completed a 700-mile tour of Wales without any problems, demonstrating its mechanical fitness.

The bodywork presents well, and the vendor describes the velour interior as being in fine condition with no concerns regarding the seats or material.
